1. Jim Flora: His album covers for RCA are diabolically unsettling and beautiful. Reminiscent of a cross between Picasso and Aztec/Incan art. Great color sense as well, creating complex arrangements from a deceptively simple palette.

Here’s a neat hack. Using conditional comments in Internet Explorer to serve browser specific CSS rules.
Cool - No longer have to use the ‘html>body’ hack to bypass IE’s faulty box model implementation; Only rules specific to IE have to be in the extra file.
Uncool -multiple CSS files have to be maintained.
Overall, this simplifies development immensely.
Here’s a layout for a site I’m doing for another local band. Getting the white triangle and cross in place was a little tricky with CSS but I eventually got it figured out. I’m currently searching for a good image optimization program to try and bring the page weight down.
